SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will launch nonstop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport on November 15, 2026. The new route will operate four times each week and expand the carrier’s network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Air Arabia already flies from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, which serves the Jordanian capital. The addition gives passengers a second Amman airport option on the airline’s Sharjah network and expands its scheduled connections to Jordan.

Air Arabia adds new Sharjah to Amman City Airport route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Jordan air links with a new Sharjah-Amman service.

The carrier will operate the new service on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, will depart Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reach Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has opened bookings for the route through its website, call center and travel agencies.

The launch adds another direct link to Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan operations. The group currently connects Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. It also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah service will therefore extend the group’s Amman City Airport connections to another UAE departure point while maintaining its current Jordan services.

Air Arabia expands access to two Amman airports

Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali said the route gives customers access to a second airport in the Jordanian capital. He said the service will provide greater convenience and flexibility for travelers between the UAE and Jordan. The company announced the Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month before the scheduled November start. The service will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began its own Amman City Airport service earlier in 2026. That route started on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi operation also serves Queen Alia International Airport, giving travelers two Amman airport choices from the UAE capital. Air Arabia said in April that the two Abu Dhabi routes together provided 10 weekly flights to Amman when the second airport service launched.

Sharjah route adds four weekly Jordan flights

The new Sharjah service uses flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170 and follows a fixed four-day weekly schedule. Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its wider network. The airline also offers its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu and Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can book the Amman City Airport flights ahead of the November 15 launch through the carrier’s established sales channels.

The expansion increases Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connections through Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct Air Arabia services to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. From Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, while Alexandria has a direct link to Amman City Airport. The November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the group’s regional network.
